The research activity in this area is widely spread from case study work on communities, to financial mechanisms for facilitating greater uptake of energy efficiency measures in different environments. The work also addresses the shortcomings of the current arrangements in property management and development, including the relationships between landlord and tenant, and the requirements of regulatory bodies and government policy imposing constraints on available technical solutions. The work has been funded from a variety of sources and including Grosvenor, SIG plc, and EPSRC.
