Hongting Zheng (Shirley) completed both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees (MEng) in Structural Engineering and Architecture studies at the University of Sheffield. After graduation, she worked for six years at a state-owned infrastructure company in China.
Hongting is a PhD student under the supervision of Dr Edoardo Borgomeo, researching urban water management and sustainable development practices in Hangzhou, China, and the UK, with a focus on achieving net zero in the water sector through policy, technological innovation, and international collaboration.
