Biography
Edoardo is Associate Professor of Water Engineering at the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining Cambridge, Edoardo was staff of the World Bank, working on national water resources management projects, dialogue over international waters, and desalination and wastewater reuse strategy. Prior to joining the World Bank, he worked at the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations in Rome and at the International Water Management Institute in Sri Lanka. Edoardo has worked on water policy and operations in sub-Saharan Africa; Central and South Asia; Middle East and Latin America and continues to advise international agencies and the private sector on water planning and policy. Edoardo speaks Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.
Edoardo was a Policy Leader Fellow at the European University Institute, honorary research associate at the University of Oxford, and young summer scientist at the International Institute for Applied System Analysis. In 2018, he shared the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water with Professor Jim W Hall for their joint research work on water resources planning in times of climate change.
