About
Mr George Remias has over 28 years of stormwater management experience throughout the Midwest and is the Manager of Stormwater Strategic Support for the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District’s (District) Regional Stormwater Management Program. His responsibilities include managing the District’s hydrologic and hydraulic stormwater models, support prioritizing the stormwater construction program, implementing a data driven urgent storm event response, working with local communities, and supporting research and strategies that improve flood resiliency. He both chaired the stormwater committee and led writing the stormwater chapter for the 2021 and 2025 American Society of Civil Engineer’s Report Card for Ohio’s Infrastructure, respectively.
Mr Remias is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio. He is the inventor of the District’s pending patent for a system and methods for flood risk assessment. George has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Westminster College.
