Dr Zizhen Xu is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Future Roads Fellow at the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge. His project in Future Roads programme focuses on climate resilience of highway network in England, currently with strong interests in the threat of flooding. Zizhen earned his PhD in transportation resilience in 2022 and his MSc in Energy & Environment in 2019 at the City University of Hong Kong. His PhD research focused on the network resilience of urban public transportation systems. In 2023 after his PhD, Zizhen worked as a postdoctoral researcher at City University of Hong Kong on the topic of resilience of interconnected systems including multimodal transportation, industrial symbiosis, and urban water infrastructure. 

Dr Xu works with Dr Kristen MacAskill.
