Feriha Mugisha Mukuve (B.Sc., M.Sc., MPhil ESD) completed the MPhil in 2011. He returned to the centre in 2012 to continue with PhD study as an IDB Cambridge International Scholar. His PhD research is on the analysis and management of resource stress within the water-land-energy resource nexus to facilitate enhanced agricultural output and food security in the most famine prone areas in the world, particularly sub-Saharan Africa.
Feriha is a member Churchill College and an alumni member of Wolfson College.

Feriha did his undergraduate and M.Sc. study at Makerere University Kampala in Uganda graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree (1st Class Honours) in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Water Resources) in 2006 and 2010 respectively. He then embarked on the MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development at the Centre under the Commonwealth Shared Cambridge Scholarship, completing in 2011. For his MPhil dissertation he developed a generic Catchment Characterisation Model to facilitate macro-scale watershed analysis and project flood risk and nutrient pollution.
Since 2006, Feriha has also worked variously as an academic at the MUK Department of Civil Engineering and as a DSS developer and water engineer for Kampala Water.
