Understanding the Implementation of Sustainability Principles in UK Educational Building Projects

Helen is undertaking research into sustainability in the built environment. Sustainable development is well defined in a generic sense, although some contradictions and variations in interpretations exist. A working, sub-definition applicable to the built environment needs to be established and to that end Helen initially undertook a review of the literature and carried out a comparative analysis of the leading texts and tools for the implementation and assessment of sustainability in the built environment.
