An article by the CSD's PhD student Emma Houiellebecq is featured in the 2022 edition of The Scholar, a Gates Cambridge publication. Emma's work addresses the challenges of maintaining essential infrastructure, such as the provision of electricity and water, in the Gaza Strip. Emma is a two-time winner of Gates Cambridge Awards: her first award was in 2016 for her MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development, while her current award is for her PhD work with Dr Kristen MacAskill.
